Just over two years ago, we launched Teespring to the world. Our goal was simple: If we could remove every risk, cost, pain point and compromise from selling online we could simplify ecommerce down to what truly matters: Having a great idea and people who are willing to support it.
We envision a world where selling is a meritocracy, where the best ideas rise to the top. Where the only thing between you and launching your own brand is finding your audience.
We’ve been amazed by how entrepreneurs have embraced Teespring to bring their ideas to life. We now have more campaigns launched per day than we had per month a short year ago. And as the ranks of Teespring entrepreneurs grow, so do the number of success stories we hear from the community. From examples of amazing entrepreneurship, with our top sellers generating seven figure salaries, to incredible philanthropic campaigns that raise millions for great causes like the Red Cross, Wildland Firefighter Foundation, and One Fund Boston.
The coming year will be a time for us to obsessively focus on building a platform that we hope one day will power millions of brands, from small to large. That means continuing to relentlessly refine and improve our product quality, as well as introducing some awesome new functionality, including analytics for sellers, expanded product offerings, and reduced production times.
Today, we’re excited to say we’ve taken a step towards realizing that vision with an investment from Andreessen Horowitz, and the addition of General Partner Lars Dalgaard, founder and former CEO of SuccessFactors, to our board. Lars and the team at Andreessen Horowitz share our vision for the future of ecommerce, and we’re excited to see what the partnership will bring.
There’s still a ton of work to be done, and the road here has been anything but smooth, but we’re starting the new year more excited than ever for what’s to come.
Thank you for your support, it means the world to us.
Walker, Evan and Bill
P.S. None of what we’ve done would have possible without our amazing team, who deserve all the credit for where we are today.
